This is an hour class in the classic Dru style, including:
  • Activating the body and joints
  • Energy Block Release Sequence to let go of tension through the whole body 
  • Parsvottanasana - Charity pose - exploring the posture through body preparations and energetic experience
  • Makarasana - Crocodile pose to integrate the work of the class

The class on Thursday will be restorative; we will explore the healing power of the Energy Block Release sequence and work with a flowing tree posture. Followed by a 4 stage relaxation that is specifically designed to engage the parasympathetic nervous system to maximise integration, healing and restoration.

This class will be about 45 minutes to one hour long and will give participants an insight into the unique approach that Dru Yoga takes to integrate body, heart, mind and spirit.

Dru Yoga consists of gentle, flowing sequences of movements, often performed slowly, to encourage maximum awareness of the body, and in particular the spine.

Movements are coordinated with the breath, allowing the breath to lead the body. Dru Yoga includes unique Energy Block Release (EBR) sequences to aid the safe release of trapped, negative energy that builds up during our hectic lives. Releasing this energy through movement can enhance our physical, spiritual and emotional health.
